Melissa is an accomplished doctoral-level professional and strategy-driven educator with extensive background in college settings, along with expertise in leadership, team building, distance learning, grant writing, strategic planning, and operations.
Her background includes college operations management success within profit and non-profit institutions.
Melissa is currently Vice President/Provost for the Community College of Beaver County.
Previously, she served as Assistant Dean of the Salem Campus of Kent State University where she manages the day-to-day operations of the campus, and as Vice President of Academic Affairs at Aiken Technical College, where she pioneered new faculty-driven student retention activities improving retention rate, graduation rate, and student satisfaction.
As Executive Director of the SIA Program at CCAC, a $1.9 million U.S. Congressional Appropriation, she managed the creation of seat and online curriculum as well as the development of a content management system for delivery at training sites of the National Guard Bureau.
Melissa has spent many years in the classroom as a faculty member at Butler Senior High School, Indiana University of Pennsylvania, and Colorado Mountain College.
Melissa holds a B.S. and M.Ed. from IUP and a Ed.D. from the University of Pittsburgh.
